COSTCO ADVENTURE ....with all 4!....ALONE

Mommy is a Big Girl Now!

Granola went to Costco today with all 4 children. This is not a big deal until you realize I NEVER go out with all 4 of her children alone! I always has someone with me, and I am surprised how well it actually went.

As I was walking in I received a few looks of "oh how sweet the babies" and that's fine and usually expected when anyone has a baby or two. I continued and without making eye contact of any sorts to anyone to avoid awkward conversations, as we enter the cheese Isle there was a little Latino Woman who had to be close to her 60's approached me with a smile and fingers ready to grab some cheeks. I could tell she could not speak well English and she was very sweet asking if it was boy/girl? or girl/girl, I usually get annoyed because they both have dresses on but since they didn't this time and she was a bit older I had no problem clarifying. She then looked at the other 2 I had in my cart and asked "all 4 ...yours?"  I said yes. She did this ticking thing with her voice then I swear she looked to see if I had a ring on, and said but your so young.
---------------------------------------------------
I Ignored it, rolled my eyes and smiled and said yes I know, and walked away nicely. I was Raised to respect my elders (wink). Shortly after that I received a few more comments of "oh my goodness they are so cute" "did you have 2 sets of twins?" and "wow you must have your hand full".....now I went into the Refrigerated area to grab some Almond Milk and Rice Milk (since we all have different palates in this family for the type of liquids we drink, golly gee) And this little Latino women chased after me (literally) and tried to push my cart OUT of the section. Sure it was cold, cold enough to freeze a baby to DEATH?! no. She pushed on my cart to get out and said "no no babies will to cold....go...go". I started to laugh and said "Oh I think they will be ok" in fact its 90 degrees out today and they had red cheeks just for being outside for 5 mins before we went in (thats how long it takes to unload my van!) She gave me a dirty look and walked away. I was not to worried about her but the attention gained from that, I had 2 other moms looking at me and for the most part were laughing with me, was just embarrassing on my end she targeted me because she thinks I'm a child and should know better.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What I wanted to say to her! was LADY this is FARGO ....NORTH DAKOTA.... if my babies are cold in this refrigerated part of Costco, I have no Idea what they will do come November! Hands off my cart!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All in all it was a great shopping experience and eventful, the BEST part was my children being so WELL BEHAVED! they were so good I even said they could get a GREASY NASTY 1.50 PIZZA AND LEMONADE AFTER WE WENT THROUGH THE CHECKOUT at the concession like stand they have there.WHAT you say???  Granola gave her children that CRAP! I will never believe that!

Well guess what.............. I HAVE A PICTURE TO PROVE IT!
nasty and fatty with most likely no nutritional value what so ever ....yes
but they deserve a treat just like we all do every now and then.

Picky eaters? NO!

KIDS EAT WHAT YOU GIVE THEM!!!

I dont know what you may or may not feed your children, but I have a bit of a rant here .... do not read if you feed you kids daily mac and cheese because you have given into your childs cries, and picky eating habits and just cant deal with them being upset, EVER.

I am all about freedom schooling, letting your children make their own decisions ect, but when it comes to food? i feel there is no excuse unless you are on a limited budget (can not afford the better food selection) for your children. I have witnessed families well off just giving their crying children Ramen noodles, Candy, Chips, BECAUSE they were crying that broccoli was to disgusting.

the worst I have seen was a a mother putting sweet and low into WATER! really we have come that far kids can not even drink water?

WHY do you think they believe broccoli or water is to disgusting?  it may be because you are not giving it to them... or you are...and they will not eat it or drink it and are a tad stubborn.

HERE is my advice.... YOUR CHILDREN.... WILL NOT STARVE! YOU PUT A PLATE IN FRONT OF THEM WITH VEGGIES AND GOOD FOOD THEY WILL EAT IT!  just give them a day and  they will love it! at least by the end of the day ... if not you keep giving the veggies, healthy whole foods, ect...  and not giving in to their picky attitudes and they will come around and love it .... they will NOT stop eating and starve (wink) I promise you. they will EAT their plate.

It is we who give them what they need and it is we who can destroy that nutrition that they need!. don't buy Doritos, cookies, chocolate milk, candy to have in the home, buy healthier snacks, healthy foods they can pick out from home what they want, that way they will not see it and cry, scream, tantrum,  for those particular type of foods, if that's what your "picky eater" does.

YES my children have asked if we can have ramen noodles again sometimes from when I would give them some in a financial crisis 2 years ago. and he EVEN asks if we can go to McDonalds again time to time.... I say "No, there are better healthier options for you". Do I deprive him of McDonalds or Burger King? Not entirely. I will bring them eventually just not once a month (once a month does not seem to bad but our choice is not to),  and most of the time they do not want to eat, they just enjoy the play area so I am not to concerned, everyone has guilty pleasures even children, lol.

With kids it may be hard and difficult to get them to eat but when they say they are so hungry? or the famouse one in my home is "mom IM starvinggggg" lol and after denying a plate of veggies? I say tough. As long as you do not have it in the home they will learn not to complain about what you make.

My children now eat raw peppers, raw avocado, salads for lunch most the time, radishes, eggplants, quinoa, ect the list goes on. Believe me it works it just takes time ;)

THIS COMMERCIAL HAS SO MANY WRONGS ABOUT IT

do you NOTICE the pyramid?  pause it at 14 seconds

do you see what is wrong there????

"when her DIET decided to effect her development and growth"   ??
OF COURSE your pediatrician recommended PediaSure .... you were feeding your kid Syrup (bottom right) FRIED chicken, and cookies.

"she will not eat ANYTHING GREEN"???

I am sorry but if your child can not eat anything green because of the way it tastes?

then give her some greens and nothing else.

I just can not understand how a parent who can FINANCIALLY feed their children right let it

go junk all the time. :/

OUR new Blog name suits us.

Suite with Tie vs Tie-dye with no bra

My husband and I are Unique, its not the country boy with the farmers daughter, or classy rich girl with the entrepreneur, the jersey girl with her Tool of a guy, the suburban political mom with the savvy business man, or the rocker with her musician, or the Hippie/hipster with the eco terrorist type man who rides his bike to work everyday.....

Try... the Hippie weirdo with the Business man.

if our life was a sitcom you know it would be Dharma and Greg

We are Very Different and that's what makes our relationship awesome, we like to be challenged and we have some heated debates, sometimes they can get a little irrational because we are both a little thick headed and want to be right but HE comes around to his scenes haha whoops I mean ...er...um...WE.

anyways I hope you enjoy our stories ;)  we have a lot of fun ones and also we were thinking of having some debatable topics here publicly to get others views on the topics as well, no we will not air our dirty laundry all over this blog or facebook, just our thoughts.

it works

IT WORKS! Body Wraps

I just became a distributor for It Works body Wraps and let me tell you they are truly amazing!

After 4 children, I was lost on were to start for getting my body back, and these wraps I have been hearing from for 2 years now and now my friends have been swearing by them!  ??? I thought wraps were stupid its just WATER weight being lost. dumb.... Until I did my research

THESE THINGS ARE AMAZING!
here is the science behind it

It works, Science of It Works, Body Wraps, loose cellulite
how it works.

It Works Body Wraps – how do they work?  You’re wondering if they work, the answer is YES and you’re also wondering how…so here is a picture to show you the difference between, normal fat cells and fat cells bloated and swollen with toxins. The botanical blend in our wraps penetrate the skin and into the deeper skin layers, getting straight to the fat cells…where it forces toxins out of them! Those toxins are then picked up by the blood stream and filtered through the kidneys and essentially are eliminated through your urine. A little fact about fat cells: When you are born, you are born with all the fat cells your body will ever have. However, fat can expand 1000x its original size. Fat holds toxins and CAN be shrunk, you don’t essentially “lose” fat without exercise, proper diet or surgery – but you can certainly shrink it and our skinny wraps will do just that!

take a look at our products here and order online

HERE ARE MY PERSONAL RESULTS
before, after 4 children, middle: after 3 wraps, last pic is after 6.

THAT'S ME!!!

I am now a distributor so you can order from anywhere in the world from the link above or add my facebook page and ask me more questions!

we have a lot of ALL NATURAL products that help with weight loss as well so take a look around and ask me about Loyalty customers, and how you can save 45% will all your orders!

would you rather pay thousands for cosmetic surgery or look better with all natural products? you choose.

Breastfeeding and Donated Breastmilk

BREASTFEEDING Twins & DONATED BREAST-MILK!

These Girls at birth were nothing BUT breastfed, Doctors did everything in their power to try to convince me that formula fortifier was their best chance at coming home because they would gain and develop faster in the NICU with it. MOMS, DO NOT LET DOCTORS FOOL YOU! breast-milk is MADE for pre-mature babies! your body Knows you gave birth early and produces extra fat for the wee ones, its very important they get that, I was being scolded by doctors and any mother in a moment of weakness can give in to her doctor but not this time. This is your birth, your babies, YOUR decision!

Now then I exclusively pumped for 3 months since their little mouths would not latch on (they were born via emergency c-section at 32 weeks due to cord entanglements and deceleration in heart monitoring .. River had a cord around her neck) , after many lactation visits and lots of practice they started latching about 2-3 weeks ago. But even with the Breast Feeding and Pumping I am not making enough and I know about the supplements, oatmeal cookies, hand expressing, nip shields, ect ect, My boobs just don't make the cut for these 2 not to mention I have a painful let down when milk comes in (only happens to about 50% of women) also my babes are making me bleed sometimes but that should soon stop we only just started...... yes.... it upsets me greatly, no way did I want to start formula feeding constantly either, I disagree with the stuff (its just my personal motherly view)

So what was I going to do??

A Friend then contacted me earlier in my pregnancy about donated breast-milk.... interesting. She told me about two amazing sites via facebook ....

Human Milk for Human Babies Association of North America.

https://www.facebook.com/HMBANA?fref=ts

Eats on Feets

 https://www.facebook.com/EatsOnFeetsHome?fref=ts

I went and looked, These wonderful women have stashed breast-milk for when they over pumped, their babes maybe had a milk allergy, baby would not take a bottle and they produced a lot, of babe is not eating as much anymore because they are older. I put my info up on the wall and immediately got a response back, a woman in Minneapolis who took vitamins daily, did not smoke or drink, and ate a balanced diet said she had 400 oz stocked in her deep freeze. This was so great! these mothers feed their babies and willingly donate the greatest food for babies to mothers in need. Not only did I meet with these mothers but developed a relationship with them, some are continuously pumping to help feed my Twins, Some of which are my friends and even one of my Husbands old classmates! HERE is my Recent donation!!!  :)

I know for some of you this is odd, or you may think to risky! what if mom is a drunk, or doing drugs! I personally think formula is risky and yes I have had to use it so I am not bashing mothers who do. I just personally think you choose your own risk with your children daily, and formula is a risk (IMO) These mothers do not pose a threat to me that formula does, they feed their own children their milk and create relationships with their donors. They do not profit they are simply here to help us out. THANK YOU TO ALL THE WONDERFUL MOTHERS OUT THERE WHO HELP MOTHERS LIKE ME OUT and mothers who have it worse than me.

Me and My kids happy we have healthy babe! :)

27 Weeks and Counting

you know how easy I thought this was going to be? I thought it was going to be soothing and relaxing and great to have a small break from being a mom 24/7.

I am being well taken care of here do not get me wrong, but the lack of even just touch is making me fidget and upset.  Little hugs everyday and tickle attacks from the children, kisses all over my face I miss terribly. What may even be more strange, I miss the loud atmosphere of it all, the hectic, loud, meandering nonsense that spews from my kids mouths I just MISS and can be be devastatingly painful some days!

I realize as much as I can complain sometimes about needing a break (which moms still need every now and then but never this long obviously) I really shouldn't take things for granted. Sure moms complain its normal, its the emotions talking most times from frustrations we feel. This is defiantly a learning experience for me and almost seems like a test. I just cannot wait for my entire family to be reunited, twins and all.

Now the kids are not the only people I am missing, I am Missing my husband time, I miss taking care of him as well, and I know he is struggling without me which makes me giggle but very needed at the same time. He has his sister cook for him and without a doubt his mother (I thank them both) because Joey DOES NOT cook anything at all and is more than likely hitting up those fast food joints. <----- not good!
Another reason I know I am missing him was when he left this 2nd weekend he was here, shortly after he left I started getting shortness of breath and was having a very hard time breathing, then the anxiety, then my body went into a panic mode and got really shaky, and the tears were running down my face .... I had 3 nurses trying to calm me down I didn't know what was giving me this and the nurses put it together that I did see my children that day and my Husband left just a few short hours ago, I had to be given a sedative/anti anxiety med to calm down and then i was monitored and extra time just in case babies were stressed. luckily I calmed down within the hour with what they gave me, and I even fell asleep earlier and slept nicely for 10 hours!

So this week has not started out to be the best of weeks but I just need to concentrate on these twins and I have to tell myself I am doing this for them. Hopefully the rest of the week can turn out to be more positive for me and I can calm down a bit, maybe take a dip in the pool tomorrow. The Twins are doing very good and by 28 weeks on Saturday its all up to them about when they want to be born, most twins are born between 28-34, so we shall see if they decide to make their OWN an appearance. (smiles)

in the meantime here is some nice reading about how roughhousing with your kids can be great for your children!
